Roland hat sich der Restauration alter englischer Fahrmaschinen verschrieben. Auch wenn sich der ganze Zauber rein im Privatleben der beiden Zweiradenthusiasten abspielt, so ist der Name Roland Kaschner innerhalb der Szene deutschlandweit bekannt. Schlie\u00dflich gibt es auch im gewerblichen Bereich nur wenige Mechaniker, die heute noch in der Lage sind, historische Motorr\u00e4der originalgetreu wieder aufzubauen. Und mit Restauration ist keineswegs blo\u00df die Wiederherstellung eines irgendwie fahrbaren Zustandes gemeint. Oh nein! Denn bei den Gablinger Motorenwerken stammen nicht nur die meisten Motorr\u00e4der aus l\u00e4ngst vergangenen Jahrzehnten. Neben vielen Jahren der \u00dcbung braucht man dazu zweifelsohne einen begnadeten Lehrmeister. Und den hatte Roland in Christoph \u201eChristl\u201c Seffer gefunden. In dessen Garage in einem M\u00fcnchner Hinterhof wurde der Grundstein gelegt f\u00fcr das, was sp\u00e4ter die Gablinger Motorenwerke werden sollte. Christl, selbst gelernter Werkzeugmacher, unterwies Roland \u00fcber mehrere Jahre in der Kunst der Metallbearbeitung, in die unz\u00e4hligen Eigenheiten der diversen Motoren, Getriebe und Fahrwerke. Bald quartierten sich Gabi und Roland in einer alten Scheune nahe des ehemaligen Gablinger Flugplatzes ein, wo dann auch die Gablinger Motorenwerke geboren wurden. Man braucht jemanden, der diese Leidenschaft teilt, das Feuer immer wieder entfacht und einem auch mal den R\u00fccken freih\u00e4lt. Jemanden, der auch mal selbst mit Hand anlegt, nicht vor \u00f6ligen H\u00e4nden und durchschraubten N\u00e4chten zur\u00fcckschreckt. Jemanden wie Gabi Kaschner. Immer guter Laune und stilecht gestylt passt sie darauf auf, dass es Roland w\u00e4hrend der Arbeit an nichts fehlt. Ihr Verdienst ist es auch, dass die Werkstatt der Gablinger Motorenwerke den Eindruck erweckt, als w\u00e4re man mit einer Zeitmaschine direkt in 1960er Jahre gereist, vom Wandanstrich bis zu den auf Putz verlegten Stromleitungen mit Bakelit-Lichtschaltern.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><br \/>\n<section class=\"av_textblock_section \"  itemscope=\"itemscope\" itemtype=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/BlogPosting\" itemprop=\"blogPost\" ><div class='avia_textblock  '   itemprop=\"text\" ><blockquote>\n<p><strong>Historie wird bei den Kaschners gro\u00df geschrieben.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/div><\/section><br \/>\n<section class=\"av_textblock_section \"  itemscope=\"itemscope\" itemtype=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/BlogPosting\" itemprop=\"blogPost\" ><div class='avia_textblock  '   itemprop=\"text\" ><p>Und diese Liebe zum Detail ist dann auch in jedem von Rolands Handgriffen zu sehen, wenn man ihm bei der Arbeit zusieht. Mittelma\u00df gibt es nicht. \u201eDas passt schon, ist zwar nicht mehr sch\u00f6n aber das bauen wir halt so ein\u201c, h\u00f6rt man von Roland so gut wie nie. Entweder wird ein Bauteil so lange geputzt oder aufbereitet bis es wieder ann\u00e4hernd seine originale Beschaffenheit hat, optisch wie funktionell, oder es wird eben neu gekauft. Und das ist nur vern\u00fcnftig. Denn wer einmal einen Motor von innen gesehen hat versteht schnell, dass jede noch so kleine Vertiefung ihre ganz bestimmte Aufgabe hat. Und wer nicht ein paar Wochen nach der Restauration mit undichtem Motorgeh\u00e4use, ausgeschlagenem Pleul oder \u00e4hnlichem am Stra\u00dfenrand stranden will tut gut daran, Rolands Empfehlungen zu beherzigen. Im Gegensatz zu anderen Oldtimer-Fahrern, die ihre Sch\u00e4tze nur bei wolkenlosem Himmel aus der Garage holen, geht es bei Roland und Gabi schonungslos zur Sache. Einmal England und zur\u00fcck? Kein Problem. Mit der Vorkriegs-Triumph \u00fcber holprige Alpenp\u00e4sse nach Italien? Ein Kinderspiel! Stundenlange Regenfahrten? Auch in Ordnung. Und kleine Reparaturen unterwegs machen die Tour erst zu einem richtigen Erlebnis. Egal ob verlorene Kette, defekte Batterie oder ein mysteri\u00f6ses Ger\u00e4usch w\u00e4hrend dem Schalten. Denn irgendwer muss sich schlie\u00dflich um das gesellige Miteinander und das leibliche Wohl k\u00fcmmern. Vom gemeinsamen Grillabend \u00fcber die Urlaubsplanung bis zum Messestand, Gabi ist ein One-Man- Organisationskommittee \u00e0 la bonne heure. Gabis Spezialgebiet sind jedoch Expressfahrten zum Teileh\u00e4ndler. Auch Strecken von mehreren hundert Kilometer nach Feierabend sind kein Problem. Und da jedes Motorrad mit der selben Liebe behandelt wird scheut Gabi auch keine M\u00fchen wenn es um Restaurationsprojekte von Freunden und Bekannten geht.
